In 4? or 2-3/4″ barrel with 38 Special or +P loads, the Security Six is a great home defense gun for the average person and also fun at the range. This allowed more metal in the frame and cylinder without increasing the overall weight. I have a blued 4" Security-Six (half lug) and a Stainless 4" GP100 (full lug). The GP100 weighs 39 oz, the Security-Six weighs 38 oz. If the GP100 had a half lug, it would be about an ounce lighter than the Security-Six.

Rover is correct, the cylinder on the Six is slightly bigger, but still designated with the same holster size. I have a 4" 66-1 and a 4" Security Six and they both use the same holster, so I would guess if you find a k-frame holster with the same barrel length it should suffice.
